A quick and easy recipe for the red lentil soup?
The peeled red lentils do not need to be soaked, only rinse them and make a visual check. Meanwhile, pour cold water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. After a few minutes, add a bay leaf and other aromatic herbs to taste. As soon as the water boils, season with salt and pepper, pour in the lentils and lower the heat; if necessary, add hot water during cooking. Cook for about 10/15 minutes, or depending on the desired consistency. Once ready, serve the lentils with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
